There is nothing like stir-Friday (thanks, Archer!). I hope you enjoy this fast and delicious meal, any day of the week.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1/2 pound shaved sirloin steak
1/2 cup jasmine rice
1 ounce fresh ginger, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
pinch red pepper flakes
1 cup snow peas
salt and pepper
sesame seeds, for garnish
Method:
In a pot, combine the rice and 1 cup of water. Cover, bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook until the water is absorbed and riches cooked, 15to 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat 1 and a half tablespoons oil in a medium nonstick skillet over high. Add shaved sirloin steak; cook, until browned all over and cooked through.
Add snow peas, red pepper flakes, garlic and ginger, and a pinch of salt to skillet with steak. Cook, stirring, until snow peas are crisp-tender.
Add teriyaki sauce to steak and snow peas in same skillet. Reduce heat to medium and cook, tossing to combine, until everything is coated in sauce, about 1 minute. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve teriyaki beef over rice with sesame seeds sprinkled over top. Enjoy!
